Album: Stained Glass Stories
In the thickets overgrown
In their darkness stood a pool
Lightless no reflection shown
So for ages water clear
Stood in darkness all alone
To capture the first image
Come to sight
Out of time, out of breath
Ancient children hide from death
One still strong the other fades
He carries her into the glade
So that the final light
Would burn out bright
From her lips the words repeat
The search is over
When again we meet
On the water, in the glass
The end is near but the image lasts
The reflection turns to hidden past
Through time erased the memory
The waters froze for him to see
The love that he would know in dreams
But never knew could be Ages pass in worlds apart
Lives begin and end in pain
Though his names and faces differ
The secret need remains the same
Lost in thoughts he cannot touch
Life ceases to matter much
For life to life the decent is steep
Into the darkness where he can sleep
Out of life, out of breath
Into the tickets he looks for death
Almost blind and near defeat
From near by a voice repeats
The search is over when again we meet
In his dreams the words repeat
The search is over when again we meet
A darker dark than starless sky
The edge of losing all he knows
Congeals revealing just her eyes
From the water her shadow shows.
