Thank you mom for saving me
From this cruel and harsh world
Saving my eyes from what I should not see

Rightfully you hid me from the world
I don't mean to sound crude
As you hid me, did you enjoy my solitude

You healed my wandering soul
And led me away from temptation
You did what you were supposed in your role
But what was your the desired revelation
Trying to make me hide
Or make me contemplate suicide

You felt you were right
Perhaps you were
I never tired to fight
I don't know if I'm sure
Maybe I'm still wrong
It's over now so long

So now your right and I'm not
You showed me truth and I denied
You led me from sneaking out and getting caught
You told the truth and I lied
As the play around me unfurled
I still hid from the ways of the world
