Hand drawn maps and roadside symbols
And lonely hubcaps
Collapsed on the shoulder

Perhaps there was a storm beforehand
On a road to north Ontario
Headed for a smile and the New Sydney Rio
Wheels roared over old country roads
I was gazing out the window
Singing I can't wait to dance in our dreams with you
Then they sky changed from dark grey to the brightest of blue
And I knew that I was getting closer to you
And I was so proud that our stories were true

Two blue eyes roaming lakeside trails
In hope to discover you
Greenish Blues, dimples overdue
A warm well known touch
Oh the sun was a' shining
Hot blinding like smoke in my eyes
Oh the end of July seemed as long as a life
I was wishing upon the sky
Singing it's been a long time my darling
I've been so engaged dreaming of spring
Well I've been discovering notes plucking strings
While you've been up north reading the poems that I sing

Cabin homes, shoreline tones
And children skipping stones
Under willow fully grown, in weed overblown
I was longing for you
Oh the water was a' talking
And I kept on a' walking
Towards the bend
Oh someday was that day my friend
And we no longer needed to pretend
And that's when I saw you standing on the bridge
And I began to sprint aiming straight for your lips
And we entwined arms placing hands upon hips
And that's when we shared that forgettable kiss

Greenish Blues
Where are you?
