I'm wondering through this human darkness
while the cold gets a grip on me
my veins freeze as it casts a shadow on my soul

i clench my fist and watch the damp sand
run through these fingers
raindrops like tears flow
inside to break this fragile shell

the more of us who settle here
my hatred increases
procession to the place of ignorance
expanding gathering blackens
the ground it's feeding from

shrill neon lights a billion times
they'll set a seal on our fate
these voices so loud have put too great
a strain on our receptivity

escape and crawl away to hide in our bitter isolation
and as i try to cry out from this inner crushing
i feel my own words getting stuck into this throat
run into the arms of last hope
as the clown face spits at me
it seems as if it becomes worthless to speak at all
so why should i listen anymore

drop down this mask
feel the eighth skin burn
scrape my reflection
relieve the pain

the more of us who settle here
my hatred increases
procession to the place of ignorance
expanding gathering blackens
the ground it's feeding from

inspiration through desperation
but though wounds still won't heal
transcend our very own emotions
just to keep this fatal image
the comeback cuts a furrow into my heart
twice as deep as the one before
a thousand eyes so very close
all looking into this gaping void
