The past is dead,
And I'm not looking back,
The future's in your head,

It's a fantasy, jack.

The now penguin in here,
And he's flapping his wings,
And although he can't fly,
He does wonderful things.

He likes to go for a walk,
Knows it's good to be outside,
And when he gets sad,
He's not afraid to cry.

He was checking us out,
As we lay in the grass,
And I swam in your eyes,
Away from the past.

And he's giving me advice,
Be as present as you can,
When you give her your heart...

And oh, they said you've changed,
As if that was such an odd thing,
But look, look around,
Change is all there is to be found.

He's been licking my wounds,
Cause he knows that they'll heal,
He's been making me fall,
So I'll know that I'm real.

He's been making it hard,
He's been making it fast,
He's been sending me back,
To lie on the grass.

He's there in the surf,
Crouched under a wave,
As he drips from my skin,
At the end of the day.

He brings me back to the point,
To be here with the flow,
To enjoy the collapse,
Before I go.

And oh, this will not last,
It'll change slow or fast,
But look, look around,
Change is all there is to be found.

Red skies at night,
Sailors delight,
Red skies at morn,
Sailors be warned,
Red skies in the day,
Strange chill in the air,
Penguins everywhere,
Penguins everywhere.
