Album: Corrode
Fourteen years old,
standing downtown.
Waiting for a bus,
a bus to take me home.
Skater passing by,
just a kid hanging out,
happens to go past,
a couple of assholes.
Tough guy takes a step,
couple feet to the left.
Runs into the skater,
intentionally.
Then he grabs the kid,
drags him to the side,
shoves him in an alley.
I hear a sickening thud.
Looking to dish out abuse,
asshole finds his lame excuse.
At half his size it's a safe bet,
the skater doesn't pose a threat.
A worm who thinks he is a man,
beats on those he knows he can.
Displaced anger - pass it on.
Your actions live after you're gone.
Skater reappears,
covered in his own blood.
Crying, runs away.
Tough guy thinks he's cool.
Lady tells the asshole,
what she thinks of him.
A cop who's passing by,
tells her to shut up.
Looking to dish out abuse,
Cop has found his lame excuse.
At half his size it's a safe bet,
the lady doesn't pose a threat.
Cop, he thinks he is a man.
Beats on those he knows he can.
Displaced anger - pass it on.
Your actions live after you're gone.
Will it matter when the oceans rise?
Will it matter when you're fossilized?
Will it matter when the sun expands,
and then collapses like a sick old man?
Will it matter when you're exhumed?
When they find and excavate your tomb,
and your skull's displayed for all to see,
in a museum in another galaxy?
Will it matter when time and space,
collapse and reset the human race,
and more than all we've seen and done,
back again to event one?
