My dream left me paralyzed,
lie after lie stuffed down my throat,
in another life I loved you,

millenniums passed as I gazed into your eyes,
I would gouge my own eyes out as to never see you again,
my broken heart stitched back together with broken glass.

I've grown old in my mind,
disgust written in ink that never fades,
sleep will bring more dreams,
not dreams that I want,
but dreams all the same,
Illusions that fill me with hate.

Images of you ripple in my head,
evaporate like everything that you said.
Whispers in the night, death calls quiet.
Paralyzed under sheets of clay.
Why should I chase a dream anyway?
Dreams are for kids!
