I stitch i sew i work i glue
i put us back together.
I know the tricks to make things fit

and your skin will be my leather.
How i want us to blindly trust
those seams that i mend.
Steel coated twine will make you mine
but scrape my thin-skinned hands.
How i want love to be a blueprint of
a feelgood movie, a happy song.
But i pinned your tongue to your sandpaper lungs
and you can't sing along.
I fall i ache i grow i break i play the stubborn part
and i'll arrange your limbs, your face
to watch me mend our hearts.
I think i'm fine. A stitch in time saves nine.
