Leaves alike glisten in the sun,
Trees sway as a new day has begun,
The cool calming rush of wind,
Carries up in an ever-turning spin.

Right before the turn of dawn,
The blaze ran through,
The hills are all gone.
Christ I'm gone.

Rays of light carry no sound,
But the screams are echoing all around,
The burden of a man's mistake,
Take all the life that it can take.

A fires' blazing in them fields so green,
The aftermath it leaves nothing to be seen.
