Album: Lullaby

The seasons are changing once again,
and the air it stings my lungs
So I take a deeper breath in,

we roll the windows down and close our eyes
Underneath Indiana stars
we're dreaming of the California sunrise in mid-July
But we're still here and we don't know why

The skies are graying
the sun is fading
the leaves are falling
the night is calling
And we're all left behind,
dreaming of the distant shoreline
The tank is full and our bags are packed,
we could just start the car and never look back
And that's just fine by me

And that's just fine.
I could live with that decision
and wake up next to the ocean
But then we open up our eyes,
and we're still here and we don't know why,
we don't know why (x3)

The skies are graying
the sun is fading
the leaves are falling
the night is calling
And we're all left behind,
dreaming of the distant shoreline
The tank is full and our bags are packed,
we could just start the car and never look back
Never look back
