The storm is ragin' on the ocean wide
I am drifting aimlessly on with the tide.
My boat is getting closer to the reef
I cry, «Lord help me,» in my fear and grief.
Inside I know there is no hope for me.
My life is filled with sin and misery.
Bur knowin' God can see a sparrow fall.
I now confess to Him: I give my all.
The storm is over now the sea is white.
The stars are out, the moon lights up the night.
Why look yon easterly on yonder shore
A glorious mansion I’ve not seen before.
The gates are open I can see a man.
He’s beckoning to me with outstretched hand
As I get closer I can see his face.
Praise God: it’s Jesus. I’ve been saved by Grace!
The clouds have blown away — the sky is clear.
The sounds of angels singing is so near.
I am resting safely in my Savior’s arms.
Protect and shelter ever from the storm.
I am resting safely in my Savior’s arms.
Protect and shelter ever from the storm.
