And it dawned on me to get moving on and on to where I don't know anyone and no one knows me and all of life is a possibility.
I swear I tried to the best of my ability
I can't put my finger on exactly what was killing me
But at my back there is a wind that's chilling me unless I keep moving on.
So I'm gone. I'm off to wherever my feet take me and I know that I feel so much safer here out on the road
out here all alone.
Where every new face is a brand new mystery
And every rounded bend is another beginning
And none of my ghosts can keep up with me when I hit the highway road
So children go while you still can while you're young. They won't understand. No they won't not in this lifetime, but love them all the same.
All apologies are a waste of energy
Because no one seems to understand the misery
Of not being able to find yourself when there's no one else at home.
Then it dawned on me to get moving on and on to where I don't know anyone and no one knows me and all of life is a possibility.
