Calvary painted
I wasn’t there, when the Sun coudn’t shine
But the Flowers, must’ve all hung their heads
Those shadowy days, are framed in my mind
Where once there was black, oh but then came the red
Calvary painted a picture of grace
In a world, so empty and grace,
Life was a canvas, hearts laid to waste
Oh it once told of crimson sin faded away
Loves rainbow of colors, can’t be erased
Calvary painted a picture of Grace.
I’ve looked through the eyes of man who was blind
I had painted my future so bright
Lord break of each morning
I woke up to find, I was still in the darkness of night.
Calvary, painted a picture of Grace
In a world so empty and grace
Life was a canvas, Hearts laid to waste
Oh it once told of crimson sin faded away
Loves rainbow of colors, can’t be erased
Calvary painted a picture of Grace.
A picture is worth a thousand words
So there’s one way to tell you, just what occured.
Blood sweat and anguish, all over his face.
Calvary painted, His love He painted
Oh my Jesus painted
A picture of Grace.
