Из альбома: Run Around, Run Around

From this blackberry bush
We can pick flowers and june
Or harvest berries in October
And bake coppers for our loves
And spill sugar on the tables

At the end of summer
We feel very rotten
All the times we were bored to death are forgotten
So we wear our new clothes or hand me downs from brothers
And parade around school looking just like the others

I slept right through the afternoon
And thought of the time that I'd wasted
I could have been washing my car
But, with my lucky, it would rain the next day
And I could have been answering the phone
But, with my luck, it'd be more bills to pay.

I am not a doctor
But I know how to use a thermometer
And I am not your analyst
But I can still tell you're unhappy
We're all just a little unhappy

So if I had a dime for each person I loved
I would buy a big house with rooms for all of us
And we'd eat our breakfast at one big table
With three million chairs to seat three million people
With three million chairs to seat three million people
