Pending dreams and stubborn hope
Hard work and heartache
All these things I’ve built upon
I’ll need you if they break
There is no one there
What’s the way, and where to go To fill this empty space?
I’ll wait for you, I wait so long
To feel your warm embrace
There is no one there
See we’ve traveled many miles
But I bet we’ll only stay here for awhile
Then it’s back where I go Always what I hide deep inside
Is a missing connection
It feels so extreme
Pulls me in the undertow
So I’ll run through my mind
Into every direction
Where nothing is real
And I’ll never let it go Only the same old stories will be told again
Hunting the same old quarry now
Pondering prose, it’s just a pose
That makes me feel awake
Happiness is just a role
I’m not too real to fake
There is nothing there
To dumb things down, to assimilate
It leads me to disgrace
I’ve got to circumnavigate
This never-ending, bullshit race
There is nothing there
See I come here for your smile
But I know we’ll only stay here for a while
Then it’s back to this home
