The snow is falling down,
Covering everything in the street.
Including you and me.
Let's get out of this night,
And away from all this cold.
And use the fireside, to warm our toes.
Now you're pulling at the corner of my blanket.
And I'll give you one last kiss for Christmas Eve.
And the presents are overflowing,
And the cider's nice and warm.
But you're the star at the top of my tree.
And now the clock is striking twelve,
We don't want this night to end
But our heavy eyes are sending us to bed.
And I'll tuck you in so tight,
And I'll wish you a pleasant sleep.
And it's all I can do to leave.
And as I close your door, I thought I heard you whisper:
"Well there's nowhere else in this world, I'd rather be
Then close to you on this special night,
And soon we'll be together in my dreams!"
And now you're pulling at the corner of my blanket.
And I'll give you one last kiss for Christmas Eve.
And the presents are overflowing,
And the cider's nice and warm.
But you're the star at the top,
Oh yes you're all the Christmas that I need.
